QUANTUM XL Codec / Mixer

Quantum XL is a powerful new portable IP audio codec with built-in audio mixer that extends the technology introduced in the existing Prodys Nomada codec family.
Quantum inherits world-class IP technology from the Prodys Ikusnet Video Codec Family: Automatic Jitter Buffer, Adaptive Bit rate, Bonding of up to 7 IP links (Ethernet, 3G/4G, Wifi) for secure audio streaming with the best possible audio quality.
A Wireless Communication Module will be available with up to four 3G/4G data links with bonding capabilities. This module is external for better reception and versatile installation options.
Up to 3 Stereo Audio Inputs (5 mic/line mono inputs) are available to be mixed, encoded and streamed in Stereo mode.

As an option, it is possible to replace the audio inputs for a Dante/AES67 interface. It can also include a decoder for H.264 IP video streams.

QUANTUM W Codec / Mixer

Quantum W is a smaller version of Quantum XL with 3 microphone/line inputs instead of 5 but with all the power of its bigger brother.

Quantum W inherits world-class IP technology from the Prodys Ikusnet Video Codec Family: Automatic Jitter Buffer, Adaptive Bit rate, Bonding of up to 7 IP links (Ethernet, 3G/4G, Wifi) for secure audio streaming with the best possible audio quality.

QUANTUM ST Rack mount IP Codec

IP Audio Codec with two stereo channels

Quantum ST is a powerful new-generation 1U rack mount IP audio codec that inherits world-class IP technology from the Prodys Ikusnet Video Codec Family and the ProntoNet Audio Codec Family.
Its main application is to receive, decode and store audio streams from remote Quantum Portable units. But Quantum ST is not just a decoder, it is also capable of encoding two stereo audio channels back to the remote Quantum Portable codec or to other Quantum ST codec.
This unit can be controlled from its built-in web graphical interface, its front panel display menu, or from the ProdysControlPlus application.

 QUANTUM 3U

Quantum 3U allows the encoding of 14 stereo channels in a 3U rack device.

Latest features added include :

Dante / AES67. With this audio transport protocol all audio channels can be routed over a single cable, which facilitates the interconnection of different devices into the studio.

2 Ethernet connections, one for transmission and one for control. The two Ethernet connections allow you to work in Bonding mode or Diversity mode, achieving higher bandwidth and greater security in transmissions.

PRODY'S NEW NOMADA PORTABLE IP XL CODEC

Running sports audio over IP is becoming more and more popular as venues loose their copper networks.

Most stadiums now are equipped with well managed IP networks, being able to provide a decent point to point bandwidth for audio streaming.

You will also find more offerings of 3G wireless as this tends to get rid of cable altogether however the problem with 3G in large venues is that the more people, the more likely it is that the network will collapse or reduce the bandwidth capacity to a unusable level.

Currently IP is already in use for distribution, in many broadcaster’s Networks,  YLE, major Finish broadcaster, is now replacing both distribution and contribution old channels by IP, and they are getting a lot

the Prontonet IP only codec's.

SR in Sweden have just received 40 Prodys modular Nereus IP codec systems to start the migration to IP in their Studio to Studio links. Onda Cero in Spain are already doing all Studio to Studio links with Nereus and ProntoNet units, and so on…

Company's in Sydney and Melbourne have purchased Prontonet codec's which have IP & ISDN options, although I think they are using them only on ISDN at the moment.

A 10 mBs ADSL2 circuit between venue and studio sounds great as you would only need 192 kBs for high quality audio.

Prodys also have portables in their Nomada range for OB use..

Nomada IP XL is a new full-duplex, dual (Program &Talkback) audio codec. With its all new design - robust, compact and a flat control surface that prevents damage to the knobs & controls also makes it very easy to use.

PRODYS IKUSNET VIDEO CODEC

Ikusnet is the product that changes it all in the way that news contribution is performed. It is not only the fact that you can use Ikusnet to send your live news via satellite or Internet, at your election, but also that Ikusnet integrates in only one super portable package all the functionality you usually have in an ENG van.
With Ikusnet you can transmit your live news using Internet, because Ikusnet adapts dynamically to the network conditions, taking the best from the experienced H.264 algorithms and IP protocols used by Prodys for years. Of course you can also perform a satellite live transmission using the DVB- ASI interface. Also, in case live is not a requirement, store your material into the local storage and forward lately to the base station.
But the best about Ikusnet is that it is not only one transmission box: with Ikusnet you have all the functionality of one small news gathering suite: with two folding video monitors and one menu touchpad, you have all the control you need for your news productions.

Introduction:

Ikusnet portable system and Ikusnet BS connect automatically through Internet so that live transmission or video file transfer could be performed. Ikusnet BS is able to decode a live feed sent from Internet or satellite, and also it is able to encode a video signal to be sent back to the portable station for feedback or monitoring purposes.

This compact, 1RU equipment can also be equipped with an external hard disk drive in order to store all the videos for later access through the local network.
